Today marks a terribly sad moment in the history of Liverpool Football Club after it was announced that Anfield legend Ronnie Moran has passed away at the age of 83.
Moran served as a player, captain, trainer, coach and caretaker manager and had continued to keep a close eye on the club with modern managers seemingly welcome to him spending time at Melwood.
He devoted 49 years of his life to this club and proved to be a man who epitomised what Liverpool stood for and one who deserves the same recognition as the likes of Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.
He was an influential footballing mind in fuelling success under the likes of Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness and Roy Evans.
Mr. Liverpool. He will be remembered as one of the true greats.
