19-year-old Liverpool defender Anderson Arroyo is headed to the Czech Republic to get some gametime under his belt.
Arroyo has joined FK Mlada Boleslav, currently third in the Czech First League, until the end of the season.
It is his third loan spell since he joined from Fortaleza in January 2018 following temporary moves to Mallorca’s B team and Belgian side Gent.
Arroyo was part of first-team training at the start of pre-season but was then a dealt a cruel blow in the form of a foot injury which sidelined him for the trip to the United States.
He has only recently recovered from that fractured metatarsal.
The left-back has 16 caps for Colombia at youth level and was ever-present for their Under-20s in their run to the World Cup quarterfinals early in the summer, but still he has failed to secure a UK work permit.
His chances could be boosted, though, if he represents his country’s Under-23s at the Olympic Games next year.
