Arsenal centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos has outrageously claimed that Arsenal boss Unai Emery is a better coach than Jurgen Klopp.
Sokratis worked under Klopp during his time with Borussia Dortmund, so knows the German well, but says Emery has had more of an impact on him and is the better coach.
According to Goal.com, Sokratis explained his decision, saying: “[Emery’s] the best coach I had in my career – I have improved a lot under him.
“I play faster than one, two or three years ago. I think more and I make better decisions and his coaches do a lot of individual work with us.”
Sokratis was never going to say anything other than something that praised his current boss, but to suggest Emery is a better coach than Klopp is nonsense.

Arsenal lost 10 times in the Premier League this season and finished 27 points behind the Reds. Klopp was not the only factor in making the club so good, but he was a hugely significant part of that.
While Emery has a lot going for him, there’s simply no debate than Klopp is a better manager. We certainly wouldn’t want to swap Klopp for anyone any time soon!
