He certainly gives more energy high up, closing down and pressing than the midfield of last season. What Liverpool do need is midfielders who can get goals. He likes a shot from distance that’s for sure. When I think of a monstrous number 8 I think of Gerrard, and nobody will achieve what he did.

As far as no more defensive midfielder? Something will be done. Kalvin Philips, Ryan gravenberch, Amrabat. One of these. Probably kalvin Philips who was a good player for Leeds a few years ago. A typical klopp player.
