Alexis Mac Allister stole the show with a thunderous strike from outside the box’s perimeter in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Sheffield United yesterday.
The Argentine’s sixth strike of the season (across all competitions) pulled the hosts back into the lead following Conor Bradley’s own goal and inspired pandemonium in the stands amongst the home support.
Such scenes were mirrored on the Reds’ bench, with substituted star Mo Salah quickly forgetting the disappointment of his withdrawal at the hour mark to partake in the raucous celebrations.

The goal shouldn’t be played in slow mo otherwise you don’t appreciate the power and accuracy behind it.
There has been a lot of talk about Mac Allister scorching goal to keep Liverpool keeping their 3 points alive. But there was no mention so far about another almost excellent scorching free kick taken outside the penalty box yesterday which almost went in at about the same right hand corner of the goalpost. That would be a real fantastic goal.
